- April 15-23rd- ASA 101-104 in the Exumas
- April 10-14 Gulf Steam Tactics Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau
- April 1-7th ASA 105-106 Gulf Stream Tactics and Bimini Islands Cruise Training
- March 26th-ASA 101-104 Biscayne Bay and North Florida Keys
- March 24- Ladies Only Gulf Stream Crossing
- March 17th- ASA 101-104 Paradise Island, Berry, and Bimini Islands Ladies only sail training.
- March 8th- ASA 106 and 118, Ft. Lauderdale, Bimini, Berry Islands and Nassau
- Feb 27th- ASA 101,103,and 104 day class in Tavernier.
- Feb 23rd, Couple’s sailing tune-up here in Tavernier.
- Feb 19th. Arrival in Fort Lauderdale with our little Beneteau after 6 days at sea. TIME FOR PIZZA AND SLEEP!!!
- Feb 4th we’re almost ready to depart for our ocean passage training from Belize to Fort Lauderdale.
- Feb 3rd Cour Volant had a fantastic week cruising to Key West with two back to back ASA training cruises.
- Jan 16th-Our first annual IQC started Sunday evening, with 9 candidates in attendance.
- Jan 11th- Cour Volant safely sails through rare ‘Trough Low’ that hit Wednesday here in the Keys. 59 knots of wind and lots of salt spray. Good going crew.
- Jan 6th.- Our ASA 104 student did splendidly with navigating the ICW, two 20km passages in the Gulf Stream and all wind conditions.
- Dec 31st-Our ASA 103-104 students did very well on their first trip out in the Gulf Stream heading to Fort Lauderdale this week. See photos of this trip on our ship’s blog.
- Dec 12th-Back from the Bahamas. Our ASA 106 students did extremely well in some pretty tough conditions this week. Photos are posted on our Ship’s Blog and passage notes are shortly to follow.
- Dec 1st.-Update! The crew is now headed across the Gulf Stream for the 1st Bahamas Advanced Sailing Course of the season! Follow us on this fantastic 11 day cruise See our SPOT link! to follow us on this Journey

2011 A year of adventure for the crew at FKSA
Florida Keys Sailing Academy crew, and students have been all over the globe this year. In the last 12 months alone we’ve put almost 5,000 nautical miles under our keel and traveled to some fantastic international destinations like Bahamas, Bermuda, BVI, and Mexico.
